Information

The Sorae salt farm area was formed between 1934 and 1936, and is spread over about 1.45 million pyeong around the tidal flat. At that time, most of the salt produced in Sorae Salt Farm was also the place where the pain of the Korean people, which was brought to Japan after being transferred to Busan Port by train on the Suin Line and Gyeongbu Line, is also preserved.

Siheung Gaetgol Ecological Park is the only place in Gyeonggi-do where you can feel the atmosphere of Naeman Gaetgol and the old salt farm.

The natural ecology is fully preserved as it is inhabited with various species of fish and amphibians such as red-faced sea urchin, sea urchin, and salty vegetation such as turkey, namunjae, and tung-tung joint.

The city has made this a goal of becoming a national tourist attraction and a global tourist destination through eco-friendly development, and is also a venue where the “Siheung Tidal Festival” is held every year.
