Where is Seoul located and how to get there ?
Seoul is the city capital of South Korea, located on the Han River in the northwestern part of the country. It’s the cultural, economic and political centre of South Korea.
To get to Seoul you can take a plane to the nearest airport « Incheon Airport » which is less than 1 hour ride from the city center. If you are staying anywhere else in Korea you can take your car or take a bus ride to Seoul or even .the KTX.
What to do in one day in Seoul ?
=> Namsan Tower : Probably, the first thing you want to do when you come to Seoul is to visit the iconic namsan tower and enjoy the most beautiful view of Seoul from the top. You can either take the cable car if you feel lazy and don’t want to waste time, or you can take your time and climb the stairs.
=> Ride a bike nearby Han River : Coming to Korea during spring means « amazing weather »! So make sure to experience the bike riding at Han River Park, or you can also try the couple bike which is even funnier !
=> Enjoy a unique shopping experience at Coex Mall : Coex mall is of the biggest underground malls in the world. It is a must visit place in Seoul if you are a shopping lover! You can also get to visit the big Coex mall library that you may have already seen a lot on social medias !
=> Wear a traditional Hanbok and visit one of the 5 royal palaces : You cannot come to Seoul and not visit one the 5 royal palaces ! And for more authenticity make sure to wear a hanbok that you can rent in the many shop nearby, and you can get a free entrance to the palace then !
=> Visit a traditional market to enjoy korean street food : Korea street food is known worldwide to be one of the best ! To try as various food as possible you have to go to a traditional market in Seoul such as Gwangjang market or Namdaemun Market !
=> Enjoy the Cherry Blossoms : Just by walking in the streets you can see very beautiful cherry blossoms almost anywhere in Seoul in spring, especially when you walk alongside the Han River in Yeouido. This is probably the number one spot where people come to enjoy the famous cherry blossoms. You can also visit the Seokchon Lake as it is also a very special spot to enjoy the cherry blossoms as well.
